Police investigating fatal hit-and-run in Landover

LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Police in Prince George’s County say a 63-year-old man is dead following a hit-and-run in Landover and that the victim may have been lying in the roadway when he was struck.

Police say the man was struck Saturday evening in the 6700 block of Annapolis Road. Police say when they arrived they found Salvador Sorto of Landover suffering from critical injuries and that he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the vehicle that hit Sorto did not stop.
