Zhang Wenxiu of China tests positive for doping

INCHEON, South Korea (AP) — The Olympic Council of Asia says women’s hammer throw gold medalist Zhang Wenxiu of China has tested positive for a banned substance, the sixth doping violation at the Asian Games.

The OCA says Zhang tested positive last Friday in a pre-competition test, a day before the athletics events started.

Her urine samples contained the banned substance Zeranol and its metabolite (B-Zeranol).

Zhang has been disqualified from the games, which end on Saturday.
