Idaho light plane crashes; 1 dead

COUNCIL, Idaho (AP) — The Adams County sheriff’s office says a small plane carrying one person has crashed north of the Council, Idaho, airport.

KTVB-TV reports (http://is.gd/1uVyRP ) the lone occupant was pronounced dead at the scene Friday. That pilot was not immediately identified.

Adams County deputies, Idaho State Police and local firefighters responded.

The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified.

Council is about 80 miles north of Boise.
