Chesterfield resident crowned Miss State Fair

DOSWELL, Va. (AP) — The new Miss State Fair of Virginia has some big high heels to fill.

Taylor Reynolds of Chesterfield County has been crowned as Courtney Garrett’s successor. Garrett, of Prince Edward County, went on to win the 2014 Miss Virginia pageant and was first runner-up in the Miss America pageant earlier this month.

The 19-year-old Reynolds is a sophomore biology student and track-and-field star at Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
