2 Metro train lines affected by weekend work

WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says trains on the orange and red lines will be affected by weekend work.

Metro says starting Friday at 10 p.m. and continuing through system closing on Sunday, orange line trains will operate every 16 minutes, rather than every 12 minutes. On the red line, trains will operate every 15 minutes with additional trains between Grosvenor and NoMa-Gallaudet from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Metro says there will be regular weekend service on the silver, blue, yellow and green lines.
