MedStar Washington Hospital Center hosts webcast on taboo topic

WASHINGTON — MedStar Washington Hospital Center wants to talk about an often hushed medical condition that affects one in three women over the age of 45: pelvic floor disorder.

The webcast, planned for Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m., features Dr. Cheryl Iglesia, director of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, and Dr. Andrew Sokol, associate director of minimally invasive surgery. Both will cover the symptoms, causes and treatment options for pelvic floor disorder.
