Giants’ Beason, Redskins Lauvao inactive

LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — New York Giants middle linebacker Jon Beason is inactive for the second game in a row, while Washington Redskins left guard Shawn Lauvao is out with a knee injury.

Beason has been dealing with right foot and toe injuries since training camp and is sitting out Thursday night. Jameel McClain shifts from strongside linebacker to the middle to replace Beason, and third-stringer Mark Herzlich will start on the outside.

Lauvao, whose starting spot is taken by Josh LeRibeus, was one of several Redskins injured Sunday in a loss at Philadelphia. Another was defensive end Jason Hatcher, with a hurt hamstring, but he is active Thursday.

Cornerback Tracy Porter, who had a hamstring problem, is active for Washington for the first time this season.
