Bills WR Easley’s knee injury being evaluated

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills backup receiver and key special teams player Marcus Easley’s status is uncertain a day after he hurt his left knee.

Coach Doug Marrone declined Monday to reveal the severity or nature of the injury. He says Easley is still being evaluated.

Easley was hurt while blocking during a kickoff return in the third quarter of a 22-10 loss to San Diego on Sunday.

Trainers spent several minutes treating Easley on the field. The fifth-year player required help to get to the sideline and was eventually carted off to the locker room.

Marrone also had no updates on the status of safety Da’Norris Searcy (left ankle) and starting left guard Chris Williams (back), who were hurt against San Diego as well.

Buffalo (2-1) plays at Houston (2-1) on Sunday.
