San Diego takes down Princeton, 39-29

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Keith Williams passed for 277 yards and four touchdowns to help San Diego rally for a 39-29 defeat of Princeton on Saturday.

Trailing 22-21 late in the third quarter, Williams found Reggie Bell on a 48-yard scoring strike to recapture the lead for San Diego (2-1). Bell caught four passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns.

San Diego had led the entire first half, until Quinn Epperly’s 4-yard touchdown pass to Matt Costello gave Princeton it’s first and only lead of the game early in the third.

Epperly threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns but was also intercepted twice, accounting for both Princeton turnovers.

The game was the season opener for Princeton, who has now dropped eight consecutive opening day games.
