Caravan du Nord to kick off in Austin Sept. 26

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The fourth annual Caravan du Nord, a traveling showcase of Minnesota music, kicks off in Austin on Sept. 26.

The special day of programming will feature free artist workshops, networking opportunities and an evening concert featuring singer-songwriter John Mark Nelson and his new band, Minneapolis blues outfit Alex Rossi & Root City, and Austin duo Bracken & Stowell.

The afternoon workshops and social hour are free, but tickets to the concert are $10 and can be purchased in advance through the Paramount Theatre in Austin or online at www.paramounttheatre.org.

Other Caravan du Nord stops are planned this fall in Detroit Lakes, Red Wing, Faribault and Duluth.
