VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — A Virginia-based relief organization is in Iraq, providing aid to displaced Christians.

Operation Blessing says a team sent to Iraq this week is scheduled to begin delivering food and blankets on Wednesday. The aid is intended for Christians and Yazidis living in camps and abandoned structures in and near the city of Erbil.

Operation Blessing is based in Virginia Beach.
