9/11 rescue dog still going strong 13 years later

WASHINGTON — As America pauses to remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001, one rescue worker is getting some special attention on the 13th anniversary. And that’s because she’s a dog, one of the last two surviving of those who responded to Ground Zero after the 9/11 attacks.

Named Bretagne (pronounced Brittany), the 15-year-old golden retriever is running a little slower these days. And, for the first time since the attacks, she returned with her handler to the place where the World Trade Center once stood, reports Today.com.
