Randolph leads Delaware past Delaware State, 27-9

NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Jalen Randolph ran for 118 yards and two touchdowns to help Delaware beat Delaware State 27-9 on Sunday in a game postponed a day because of thunderstorms.

Randolph had a 20-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and a 46-yarder in the third for the Blue Hens, coming off a season-opening 62-0 loss to Pittsburgh. He also had three catches for 27 yards.

Trent Hurley was 17 of 21 for 172 yards, and Michael Johnson led Delaware — 6-0 in The First State Cup — in receiving with seven catches for 67 yards.

Gilbert Rivera was 15 of 22 for 171 yards for Delaware State (0-2). Malcolm Williams ran for 100 yards and a touchdown.
