Buckeyes, Huskies hoops teams to play in 2015-16

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Ohio State and Connecticut basketball programs have agreed to a home-and-home series starting in the 2015-16 season.

Buckeyes coach Thad Matta made the announcement on Wednesday.

The Buckeyes will travel to play the Huskies Dec. 12, 2015, before Connecticut returns the trip Dec. 10, 2016, in Columbus. The 2015 game will be played in either Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Connecticut, or the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

The 2016 contest will be played in Value City Arena.

The teams last met in the Final Four in 1999, with Connecticut winning 64-58.
