Mets farmhand Bernard suspended 62 games

NEW YORK (AP) — New York Mets minor league pitcher Derrick Bernard has been suspended 62 games without pay for a positive drug test.

Major League Baseball said Wednesday that right-hander tested positive for a metabolite of Nandrolone in violation of the Minor League drug prevention and treatment program.

Bernard is on the Gulf Coast League Mets’ roster.
