Brewers’ Lohse leaves game with ankle injury

CHICAGO (AP) — Milwaukee Brewers starter Kyle Lohse left the game against the Chicago Cubs due to a ‘tweaked’ right ankle he injured while batting in the third inning.

After Lohse struck out in the top of the inning, he pitched the bottom of the third and allowed solo home runs to Javier Baez and Anthony Rizzo. The right-hander allowed four runs and seven hits with one walk over three innings.

Marco Estrada started the bottom of the fourth with the Brewers trailing 4-0.

The abbreviated start marked the second time in three outings that Lohse failed to pitch into the fifth inning.
