Fla. teen accused of abusing boy to get HIV test

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A teenager who was beaten unconscious after a Daytona Beach father says he found him sexually abusing his 11-year-old son will undergo HIV testing.

On Thursday, 18-year-old Raymond Frolander pleaded not guilty to a charge of sexual battery on a child under 12.

The boy’s father told The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/1ycpwjV ) that he requested the test because he wants to know if Frolander passed something on to his son. The family is not being identified by The Associated Press.

Frolander is being held without bail in the Volusia County Jail following the July 18 incident.

Police say the father beat Frolander with his fists after walking in on the abuse. The father has not been charged.

He told the newspaper his son is doing well.
