Blue Jays’ Cabrera leaves after being hit by pitch

TORONTO (AP) — Blue Jays outfielder Melky Cabrera has left a game against Baltimore in the third inning after being hit on the right elbow by a pitch.

Cabrera was hit Thursday night in the first inning by Miguel Gonzalez in the first.

Nolan Reimold took over for Cabrera. The Blue Jays said X-rays were negative.

The switch-hitting Cabrera is batting .315 with 14 homers and 59 RBIs. He went 5 for 8 with two walks and two runs scored in the series against the Orioles.
