HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — The second of two men charged with stealing a law enforcement officer’s service weapon has been sentenced to four years in prison.

Leroy Huse, 21, was sentenced by Washington County Circuit Court Judge Dana Wright on Tuesday after pleading guilty to third-degree burglary.

The gun was taken in a safe during a September home invasion last year at the residence of a deputy with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Another man, Devery Dion Jackson Jr., of Baltimore, also was charged in connection with the stolen weapon. He was arrested in connection with an armed robbery several days later at Coppin State University. The gun taken from the officer’s residence was used in the robbery.

Jackson pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary and also was sentenced to four years in prison.
