Brandon Jones makes it 2 for 2 in ARCA

CLERMONT, Ind. (AP) — Brandon Jones made it 2 for 2 in his ARCA Racing Series career, winning from the pole Friday night at Lucas Oil Raceway.

The 17-year-old Jones, from Atlanta, took the lead during a late caution and easily held off Austin Wayne Self on the 0.686-mile track.

“Things definitely went our way tonight,” Jones said. “I’ll take it.”

Jones also won this year at Winchester Speedway in Turner Scott Motorsports’ No. 4 Chevrolet.

Frank Kimmel was third in the 200-lap race. Grant Enfinger finished fourth to take the season points lead, 40 points ahead of Mason Mitchell. Former NASCAR driver Ken Schrader was seventh.

Earlier, NASCAR star Kyle Busch won the 100-lap ARCA/CRA Super Series race, passing John Hunter Nemechek on the final turn.

“I timed it right,” Busch said. “This was a lot of fun.”
