WASHINGTON — Some mysterious lights were seen in the southern California night sky.

A Los Angeles TV station says it received several reports of two unidentified orange lights in the sky over Camp Pendleton.

A U.S. Marine Corps base confirmed there was a live-fire mortar training Thursday night, but it did not say whether that was the cause of the two circles.
