Afternoon Poll: Do You Plan To Vote In The Primary?

Campaign signs at Silver Spring Civic CenterEarly voting for this year’s primary starts Thursday. Many are anticipating registered voters won’t take much advantage — or head to the primary day polls on June 24.

Moving the primary from September to June could play a factor in what’s expected to be a low turnout, even though it’s the first time since 1994 both the Democratic and Republican gubernatorial races have been contested.

The Bethesda-Chevy Chase area is known as “home to some of the county’s most engaged residents,” but will that play out in important local races? Do you plan to vote early? If you don’t plant to vote, why?
