D.C. developer buys up Main Street in Washington, Va.

Jim Abdo believes in location, location, location. The D.C. developer bets neighborhoods in the right spot, but with little else going for them, could be remade. He proved it on H Street and Logan Circle.

Now, Abdo has the same feeling about Washington, Virginia.

Abdo and a group of partners have purchased much of the Main Street of the tiny town made famous by The Inn at Little Washington and hope to revitalize the community by attracting retailers and broadening Washington’s appeal, The Washington Post reported.

And he has met with some success, striking deals with a furniture seller, a baker and a D.C. chef to open locations.
