2 Maryland colleges sign transfer agreement

ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. (AP) — A college in southern Maryland has authorized a transfer agreement with a local community college, allowing graduates of the two-year program to complete their four-year degrees at the institution.

St. Mary’s College has agreed to guarantee admission to qualified College of Southern Maryland students who complete their two-year degrees.

The two colleges also signed a dual enrollment agreement. Students who sign a letter of intent to transfer to St. Mary’s will be recognized as enrolled in both institutions. And CSM students who transfer before they get their associate’s degree can use credits earned at St. Mary’s to complete the two-year program.

The agreements were signed last week by the presidents of the institutions.
