Man drowns at Virginia Beach’s Oceanfront

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — A Virginia Beach emergency official says a man has drowned at the Oceanfront.

Virginia Beach EMS spokesman Ed Brazle tells media outlets that witnesses reported seeing a man floating face down in the water Sunday afternoon. A lifeguard and a bystander pulled the man out of the water.

Brazle says the man wasn’t breathing. He was taken to a local hospital where he was declared dead.

The man’s name hasn’t been released.
