Defoe scores twice, Toronto FC beats Crew 3-2

TORONTO (AP) — Jermain Defoe scored twice and Doneil Henry headed in the winner in injury time in Toronto FC’s 3-2 victory over the Columbus Crew on Saturday.

Defoe, the former Tottenham Hotspur star, scored on a penalty shot, and added a second when he one-timed a flick from Brazilian striker Gilberto.

The 21-year-old Henry muscled his way in on a free kick with about a minute left to head in the winner for Toronto (5-4-1). Justin Meram and Augustin Viana scored for Columbus (4-4-5).
