Steve Perry performs for first time in decades

WASHINGTON — Former Journey frontman Steve Perry just performed his first song his decades.

He returned to the stage last night in St. Paul, Minnesota, to join the indie-rock band The Eels.

Perry sang one of The Eels’ songs, then launched into Journey classics, “Open Arms” and “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’.”

Perry hasn’t performed with Journey since 1991, and hasn’t performed a solo concert since 1995.
