Construction on the 0.7-mile, $1.1 million sidewalk along Chevy Chase’s “Green Mile” is set to start in early June.

A Chevy Chase West newsletter on Wednesday said the State Highway Administration will pass out a flyer detailing the project before work starts.

The controversial project on the east side of Wisconsin Avenue, just south of Bradley Lane, was first set to start in March and last about three months.
