Steelers sign draft picks McCullers, Blanchflower

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed sixth-round draft pick Daniel McCullers and seventh-round selection Rob Blanchflower to four-year contracts.

Financial details were not disclosed. McCullers and Blanchflower are the first of Pittsburgh’s nine draft picks to come to terms with the team.

Pittsburgh took the 6-foot-7, 352-pound McCullers with the 215th overall pick in the draft. The defensive tackle is expected to compete for a roster spot behind veterans Steve McLendon and Cam Thomas.

The Steelers made Blanchflower the 230th overall pick. The tight end out of Massachusetts caught 109 passes for 1,164 yards and nine touchdowns with the Minutemen.
