Jurors: guilty verdict in case of missing Va. teen

LOVINGSTON, Va. (AP) — A jury has convicted a man in connection with the slaying last summer of a Nelson County teenager whose body was never found.

Media outlets report that jurors on Thursday convicted 48-year-old Randy Taylor of first-degree murder in commission of abduction and abduction with intent to defile.

Taylor was convicted in connection with the disappearance of 17-year-old Alexis Murphy.

Murphy disappeared last August. She was last seen at a gas station in Lovingston. Authorities found her car several days later in an Albemarle County parking lot.
