Body identified as that of missing New Jersey man

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say a body found in a heavily wooded ravine in Calvert County is that of a missing New Jersey man.

Police found the body of 29-year-old Hani Heiba of Springfield about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in a ravine in Prince Frederick. Troopers say the body was about 166 yards from the front of a hotel.

Heiba was reported missing on Sunday to authorities in New Jersey. Troopers say he was last seen at a car rental office at BWI Airport. The car he had rented was found at the hotel near where his body was discovered.

Troopers believe Heiba may have suffered from a medical condition. His body was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore for autopsy.
