LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal will be the keynote speaker at Liberty University’s commencement.

University president Jerry Falwell also is scheduled to speak at the Saturday morning ceremony at Williams Stadium.

The university says nearly 17,500 students are graduating from its residential and online programs, and about 6,200 will participate in commencement exercises.

Special events Friday include a reception for graduates and their families, commissioning ceremonies for military graduates and a baccalaureate service featuring author Eric Metaxas.
