On the auction block: Tour of the National Zoo panda house

WASHINGTON – The National Zoo is offering the chance to get up close and personal with the panda cub and the rest of her family.

As part of its ZooFari auction, the Friends of the National Zoo are offering a 30-minute tour of the panda house. The winning bidder will see how the pandas start their day and will learn how the staff cares for the endangered creatures.

The trip includes a two-night stay at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.

According to the auction listing, the “tour is limited to six guests and will be scheduled on a date mutually acceptable to the winner, panda staff, and the pandas.”
