WASHINGTON — A Pennsylvania waitress has completed school, become a nurse and now is on her way to earning a master’s degree, thanks to a customer’s tip.

According to this feel-good story on the Fox News Insider, Cracker Barrel customer Benjamin Olewine III told Melissa Manier to hand over all her bills for nursing school. She did, and graduated. The cost was $30,000.

It turns out the low-key Olewine is a millionaire, and philanthropist and wanted to give his friendly waitress a chance to succeed. Manier is now a registered nurse at PinnacleHealth’s Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
