Large tree falls, crushes cars in NW D.C.

WASHINGTON — A large tree fell in D.C. Tuesday afternoon, crushing cars and blocking Metro bus service on the 96 line.

The 36-inch diameter tree fell at 29th and Garfield in NW. While the cars felt the impact, no one was hurt.
