https://www.facebook.com/BVFRD Founded in 1948 and based in Burke, Virginia, our organization provides fire and emergency medical services (equipment, station, and personnel) to our local community, Fairfax County, and the greater DC metropolitan region. We have provided personnel and equipment for many regional events such as the Marine Corps Marathon and the Joint Open House at Andrews AFB. In concert with our partners from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department, we stand ready to respond to any regional crisis requiring our talents and services as we did on 9/11, Hurricane Irene, the Derecho, during SnowMageddon and numerous multi-jurisdiction emergency events over the last 65+ years.
