NFL considers extra long extra-point attempts

WASHINGTON — The NFL is reportedly considering moving the extra-point try back and making it 42 yards, NFL.com reports.

The ball would be placed at the 25-yard line rather than the 2-yard line, where it is currently placed.

The reports are that the league could experiment with it during the preseason with the reason being that extra points are too much of a given.

“A longer extra-point try certainly would make things more interesting and require significantly more strategizing,” NFL.com reports.

Do you like the possibility of the rule change? If so, is a 42-yard try the right distance?
