WASHINGTON – The Washington Nationals began accepting applications for national anthem performers Tuesday.
The first 50 applicants will be invited to audition live Saturday, March 8.
Performers must sign the anthem within 90 seconds, must perform in the traditional style and must audition a cappella.
Groups and instrumentalists are invited to audition as well as singers.
To apply, performers should send a resume and photo to anthem@nationals.com with “2014 live anthem auditions” in the subject.
