Charity, Parents, Children Benefit from ‘Wee-Sale’

Children, parents and Prince George’s County charity Streetlights of Bethany all stand to benefit from the upcoming Wee-Sale in Greenbelt.

Hundreds of local families will gather March 7 – 9 at the Greenbelt Armory to sell or buy baby and children’s clothes, furniture, accessories and supplies. Anything unsold at the end of the three-day consignment event will go to Streetlights of Bethany, a program that helps homeless people and others in need in Prince George’s County.

Mimi Shea started the Wee-Sale after realizing her children quickly outgrew some nice clothing before really using them.

The third annual sale is open 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Friday, March 7; 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, March 8 and 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9. Items are 50 percent off Sunday. Children are not allowed to attend the sale before noon Friday due to crowding.

The sale is at the Greenbelt Armory, 7100 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, Md. For more information, visit www.wee-sale.com.
