Unshoveled Driveways Could Attract Burglars

Snowy Rugby Avenue (file photo)Now that most of us are dug out from last week’s snow storm, police are warning that unshoveled driveways and walkways could attract burglars.

Snow left untouched in front of homes is a clear sign that nobody’s home and might have led to a weekend break-in in Potomac.

According to folks in the Coldspring neighborhood, a home near Falls Chapel Way and Wooden Bridge Road was burglarized either late Friday night or early Saturday morning. Police reportedly told residents that a snowed-in driveway might have led burglars to the house, a common occurrence after heavy snow.

If you are traveling, it might be worthwhile to contact someone to help remove your snow.
