Germantown fire displaces residents

WASHINGTON — A fire at an apartment building at Pickering Court in Germantown, Md., drew 60 firefighters early Saturday morning.

According to Germantown fire officials, the two-alarm 12:25 a.m. fire ripped through a building at the garden-style apartment complex. The blaze was under control in about 20 minutes. One firefighter sustained minor injuries; no injuries reported among the residents, who were otherwise displaced.
