Arlington County Police are on the scene of a bank robbery in Shirlington.

The robbery occurred around 12:15 p.m. at the BB&T Bank branch at 2700 S. Quincy Street. Initial reports suggest two men in ski masks robbed the bank while armed with at least one handgun. The men locked customers and bank employees in the bank vault during the robbery, according to police radio traffic.

Police are on the lookout for two black males, approximately 30-35 years of age, driving a large blue SUV with D.C. tags.
