I-95 accident causes closure, delays

WASHINGTON – All lanes have re-opened on southbound Interstate 95 in Prince William County following a fatal two-vehicle crash.

The crash took place at approximately 11:15 a.m. adjacent to exit 152 off of route 234. Police closed down all southbound lanes through much of the afternoon as a result of the accident.

One adult driver was killed instantly at the scene. The second driver and passenger, both adults, were taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital by helicopter for immediate treatment, and are reported to have suffered serious injuries.
