YPT, Young Playwrights’ Theater which inspires young people to realize the power of their own voices hopes in 2014 to provide hundreds of new students with free in-school and after-school arts education programming and performances of their OWN original plays. $10 buys a writing portfolio and writing supplies – helping one student to develop her very first play and discover the power of her own stories.

$25 provides a local student with his very first playwriting workshop – showing him the value of his dreams and ideas.

$50 supports the performance of one student-written play – bringing a student’s words to life on a professional stage and showing her that her voice matters.

Also, YPT says that “through a generous matching gift from the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, all donations received by December 31st will be DOUBLED in size and impact. No matter what you choose to give, your gift will go twice as far as YPT works to bring arts education to every kid.”
