Track problems cause Red Line delays

WASHINGTON – Track problems caused significant delays for riders on Metro’s Red Line Wednesday morning.

The Red Line was single tracking between NoMa-Gallaudet and Rhode Island Avenue because of track problems outside of Rhode Island Avenue, according to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority website. By about 9 a.m., the Red Line was no longer single tracking, but delays persisted.
