Outkast to reunite in 2014

WASHINGTON – It’s been seven years, but the hip-hop duo Outkast, known for hits such as “Player’s Ball,” “Hey Ya!” and “The Way You Move,” are reuniting in 2014.

According to Consequence of Sound, the duo of Big Boi and Andre3000, who led the rise of Southern hip-hop beginning in the 1990s, will get back together to perform at several festivals next year, including Coachella, in California. They haven’t performed together in 10 years.

Revolt TV was the first to confirm the news, according to Consequence of Sound.

The duo’s 2003 album, “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below,” won a Grammy for Album of the Year. Their last disc was the soundtrack to the film “Idlewild.”

2014 marks the 20th anniversary of their first album.
