County Leaf Pick-Up Starts Nov. 4

Montgomery County Montgomery County’s annual vacuum leaf collection will start Nov. 4 and run until mid-December, with two collections per area.

The county’s Department of Transportation will post signs along streets announcing collection dates for specific neighborhoods – a green sign for the date of first collection and a red sign for the date of second collection.

Leaves should be placed in piles or containers on the grass or behind the curb, off the road. Tree debris, sticks or other yard items aren’t included.

The map of leaf collection areas is here and the schedule for first leaf pick up is here.

Those who miss the vacuum collections can put them in paper yard bags for pick up on regular yard trim collection days. Leaves in plastic bags won’t be accepted.
