3 Mont. Co. teens charged with burglarizing country club

WASHINGTON — Three Montgomery County teenagers were arrested and charged in connection with a burglary at the Bethesda Country Club in August.

Montgomery County police say three 17-year-old boys were charged with burglary, vandalism and theft over $1,000 for breaking into the club on Bradley Boulevard shortly after 3 a.m. on Aug. 1 and stealing pro shop items, food, beverages, sports equipment and other merchandise, police say.

The teens also broke into a garage and took a golf cart which they crashed through a wooden gate, damaging the cart and the gate. They abandoned the golf cart on the golf course, say Montgomery County police.

Police released surveillance footage of the suspects and received tips that led to the teens’ arrests.
