Bicyclist killed in front of Woodbridge high school

WASHINGTON – A man was killed Friday after he was hit by a car driven by a teen in front of a Woodbridge high school.

Prince William County police say the teen driver was traveling on Spriggs Road in front of Hylton High School when she hit the 66-year-old bicyclist on the sidewalk.

The incident happened just shortly before 3 p.m.

The man, of Woodbridge, was pronounced dead at the scene, Prince William County police say.

The 17-year-old girl, who was driving a Ford Mustang, is from Manassas.

She is a student in the school district, but not at Hylton High School.
