Most Montgomery County government offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 in observance of Labor Day.

County administrative offices, libraries and the Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station will be closed.

County liquor stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Solid Waste Services division typically encourages people to avoid large holiday weekend crowds by visiting the Transfer Station during weekday evening hours. All trash and recycling collection will be pushed back a day.

Outdoor county pools will be open on Labor Day from noon to to 6 p.m. Administrative offices, senior centers and community centers will be closed.

Ride On, Metrobus and Metrorail will operate on a Sunday schedule.
